Crochet some flowers, why don't ya!

Alright, I posted these babies because of the interest stirred on a SCS thread I started a while back looking for directions for them. I saw them in the new Stampin' Up! catalog and loved them. I knew I could make them but, as someone else said, "Why reinvent the wheel?" These were my first attempts. I really love the 2 layer flowers best!

Only one thing I would change would be the size of the openings on the other flowers. Someone said to try the Magic Ring Method. Tonight I will give that a try to see if that makes a difference...I will let you know. Here is the link for the Irish Double Crochet Flower for those of you crafty enough to pick up a hook and "go for it!"

I want to tell you that I did not create the directions for them, sadly. I wish I had!! But, I am grateful for those before me who did because they are a neat way to add texture to cards!!

On another note....our son, Clark, has gone home from the hospital today!! Wooo Hooo!! I am sure that no one is more happy than he is!! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for him!

Happy Crafting!!

Cindy

  7. Oh, I finally got my blogger fixed so I don't have to switch computers to leave you comments :) Yeah! I love these flowers you make. I tried crocheting when I was younger because all of my cousins were really good at it. I stink! But I love seeing what other people do. These look great!

  8. *GASP* OH MY Gawsh... I've been LOOKING for some instructions on these!! I can crochet afghans to stuffed animals to doilies, but ya know...I absolutely need step by step instructions and can't come up with them on my own--even for little flowers like this. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You are a gem!! I'm gonna get to it tomorrow. What kind of thread/yarn do you use? It's not the doily thread is it? I'll go take a looksy at the instructions ☺ THANKS!
